Simple Steps to Clearer, Glowing Skin

Nothing quite compares to having glowing, healthy skin. Here are 5 tips that will have your skin glowing from within.

Eat your way to good skin

Avoid breakouts and unwanted hotspots by cutting back on processed, sugary foods. Instead stick to a nutrient rich diet full of green leafy vegetables, nuts and foods high in antioxidants. Not only will your skin look noticeably different but a balanced diet will work wonders for your body and mind too.

Drink more water

It’s the oldest skin trick in the book and it’s still the one you’re most likely not doing. Don’t worry, we’re all guilty. Lucky for us, one of the easiest ways to rehydrate skin is from the inside out. Drink the recommended 2 litres (8 glasses) of water a day to keep your skin cells hydrated and flush out any impurities and toxins from your system.

Get your beauty sleep

Poor sleep can actually lead to an increase of stress hormones which causes conditions like acne and psoriasis to get worse. It also increases the breakdown of collagen and hyaluronic acid, leaving skin looking dull and lacklustre.

Avoid heat and sun

Hot weather makes the skin produce excess sebum and melanin as a protective response, causing darker, more oily skin. Avoiding hot environments and the sun is one of the easiest ways to get brighter looking skin. Avoid spending a lot of time in the sun, and always use sunscreen. If you must go out in the sun, a hat will be helpful. A good tip is to always have one of those cute rechargeable fans in your bag, right beside your sunscreen.

Makeup Removal

If you wear makeup, ensure that you take it off as soon as you get back inside the house. Don't let it sit on your face till bedtime.

Finally, stick to your skincare routine. I know our products are pretty, but they are not meant to decorate your dressing table. USE THEM!!!
